It is my joy to welcome you to Wakefield and my petit piece of heaven. My goal is to provide you with an unforgettable experience by offering a cozy, affordable stay customized to your needs. Spending summers in Westport, Ontario with my family and two others from our church inspired my love of hosting family and friends. Experiencing a bed and breakfast stay managed by a loving family planted the seed that this is what I want to do with my life. Therefore, I worked in the hospitality industry for many years throughout the world to gain extensive hospitality experience so that I could one day fulfill my dream.
Fifteen years and two wonderful children later, my dream is complete. Experience the excitement of a new place and making new friends, just like I have in my life! Welcome, mon petit chum!
Our Humble Beginning
Nestled in the heart of Wakefield, Auberge de Mon Petit Chum charms with personality and hospitality. Acquired in 2005 from previous ownership, our new name comes from a dear friend’s phone greeting to me: “Bonjour, petit chum!” (« Hello, little friend! »)
Located only a couple minutes’ walk from downtown Wakefield’s restaurants and stores, we are a cozy and convenient launch point for all types of adventures! Whether outdoor activities in all seasons, daylong excursions into Gatineau Park and beyond or an easy day to laze away at your leisure.
Our three uniquely designed rooms showcase local memorabilia and personal favorites from my travels. Wake up to homemade, gourmet breakfasts featuring local products. Meanwhile, enjoy in-room amenities such as coffee, tea, and streaming services offered on our flat-screen TVs. Stay connected with free Wi-Fi throughout the property including our relaxing outdoor firepit.
